Who do you NOT like for an editing service and why?

There are posts up for people looking for bulk editing companies, but haven't seen one looking for information on companies to avoid. Who do you recommend staying away from and why?

A company I work with uses PhotoUp and they have been an absolute nightmare in regards to consistency and correcting issues going forward. Constant revisions are being sent back to correct the color of walls, correct orange shadows, provide window pulls that don't look like a toddler with a black brush went over the wall, sky replacement that doesn't cut out half of trees and leaves and the most maddening thing... to correct lens distortion. We email their support/corporate team several times a week regarding these pretty basic issues and we are assured that they will address the issues with our editors and after over 2 years... yes... 2 years, they still don't get it right. (I've been advocating finding a new editing company to the owners and they won't budge... sunk cost fallacy and 'feeling bad for the editors.' )

Beginner - how do Pro's get to "done"?

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 04:15 PM PDT

Hi - I'm a relative beginner - been shooting for about a year. I have a good camera and good gear. I'm struggling to figure out how to get my photos from "good-straight-out-of-camera" to "Wow". The pro photos I've seen don't seem to be "flambient". They appear to be HDR or some other method that looks super clarity, with no dramatic lighting. The just seemed to be really clear and sharp - with balanced lighting. How are they doing that? Is it really PS techniques? I suspect they're using a Service - but what does the service do that is so magical? These are not Million dollar homes - $400-500K - but really good/clear photos. Can you point me to any sources for a workflow or tools these folks use?

    Thanks.

    Need a software recommendation

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 12:26 PM PDT

Hello, They just changed some rules where i live and we have to provide drawings with our measurements. I offer measurement of the property for realtors along with photos. Jut wondering if you guys know or recommend a good drawing/floor plan software. I've tried a few and they are all painful. I just need a outline of the foundation. Nothing too crazy.
