| Typical Male fashion at the office in RE? Posted: 10 Aug 2020 06:19 AM PDT I have my first day tomorrow at the office, and I just wanna make sure I'm not over dressed. In all honesty, I love wearing suits even if it's everyday, but I just wanna make sure it's not weird that I wear a suit probably most days to the office? Or would that be weird? Thanks. | Unsolicited cold calls to a number I don’t use Posted: 10 Aug 2020 08:21 AM PDT Hi Realtors, I'm a homeowner with a home for sale. My agreement with my realtor just expired and immediately I started receiving calls to my parents and my brothers phone numbers both which are not associated to me whatsoever. I have yet to receive any calls to my actual number. How do realtors obtain these numbers and how do I dissociate them from myself? [link] [comments] |
Any advice on finding a sponsoring/employing agent for a new broker? (Colorado) Posted: 10 Aug 2020 09:18 AM PDT I'm looking into getting my license in Colorado (Denver/Golden/Lakewood area) . I would be looking at doing part-time. I know this is frowned upon by many. For me I would not be working a second job (except that whole mom thing) and my husband has a really flexible schedule thus giving me a flexible schedule to be available for clients when it suits them. So I know that's a bit better than a part-timer with limited flexibility, but still not idea for many brokers who would sponsor someone. Any advice on finding someone who might be open to sponsoring a part timer and anything else I should be aware of when looking for a sponsoring broker? What do sponsoring brokers typically expect from you? Any pros/cons for those who have done part time? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Aug 2020 01:15 PM PDT During the probation process should I addendum for a closing extension or trust the listing agent and just wait it out? How long does it usually take when a land has to go through probate? [link] [comments]
what do you use for marketing? Posted: 10 Aug 2020 01:08 PM PDT What do you use for markting open house flyers etc? I tried using KW command but its trash and super slow on a mac book pro [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Aug 2020 11:42 AM PDT I have been doing premier agent with Zillow for a few months. Had some success with it but not as much since I wasn't answering during all of covid. It seems that many of the calls I get are people just looking to see places for fun. Instead of wasting my time showing people who aren't serious (which I have done in the past) I usually ask if they have a Pre approval or proof of funds prior to showings now. Some people seem offended when I ask this and even say they've seen places in the past without having to do this. Due to covid I also feel it's better avoid contact if the person is not serious. Others have said I have the money but don't feel comfortable sharing this information so quickly which I sorta understand. Has anybody run into situations like this and have any advice or suggestions? Feel free to comment how you feel about what I'm saying also, thanks a lot! [link] [comments]
Any brokerages that don't work with leasing agents? Posted: 10 Aug 2020 11:22 AM PDT I tried searching through the various new agent threads but couldn't find an answer to this one. I'm about to take my final and, subsequently, the licensing exam to become a leasing agent in IL. I've been doing some research on brokerages and have found a few I'm really excited to contact, but I can't seem to find anything on most of their sites regarding leasing agents. I see quite a number of brokers who also engage in leasing, but, as far as I can tell, none of the major brokerages seem to hire agents who solely do leasing. Does anyone know if leasing agents can find their way in with the larger brokerages or is the best option to start searching for some smaller ones? [link] [comments]

The CE Shop, Kaplan, Easy to Pass, or Real Estate Express? Posted: 10 Aug 2020 10:25 AM PDT Hey everyone! CA here (LA). Does anyone have any experience with one of those online schools mentioned in the title? I'm looking for a pre-licensing course that is somewhat interactive and has the potential to complete fairly quickly, since I know I will be using Prep Agent as well. I'm trying to stay away from Real Estate Express, and heard good things about Kaplan, but it's kind of pricey. Right now I'm leaning more towards The CE Shop because it is affordable, and has an interactive format, but I can't really find too many reviews on it. I'd love to hear any insight on which course I should take! Thanks so much. [link] [comments]
New York License and the online proctor exam Posted: 10 Aug 2020 09:37 AM PDT Hey guys, I'm about to take the test for a real estate license in NY and my test is done through an online proctor. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with it, I've been out of college a while and online proctoring was not a thing when I was there. Is it a live feed? Recorded? What measures do they take to prevent cheating? I'm taking the test through nyrei.com if that helps. Thanks in advance to anyone who knows! [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Aug 2020 08:25 PM PDT Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to reddit and anything realtors/real estate related. A bit about myself: I'm 29, living in Canada, and have been thinking about changing my career. About 5 years back I graduated with honors and got my degree in Business. While looking for a job in my field, I worked in sales for about 3 years. I struggled to find work in my city and eventually started my own small business with some family. I've been running this business for almost 2 years, but I have been looking into different careers and realtor is one of them. A couple questions for realtors: 1)How much of your job is actually using sales techniques versus selling the client on your personality? 2)Do you find clients are looking to see if you have some sort of college degree or diploma? Does it help your career? 3)I have been known to be quiet. I'm not shy, I just have difficult thinking of what to say to people I just met. Will this be a problem for me? 4)I'm pretty terrible at directions lol. I can tell you where something is by landmarks around it but I can't remember some streets and avenues for the life of me. Is this going to be a problem? 5)Do you have second job? What other jobs do you do? Can you make a good living off only being a realtor? 6)After you get your realtors license are you pretty much on your own? Do you have someone you can go to if you're unsure of something? 7)How much of your job involves crunching numbers? 8)Any other general advice you'd give to someone in my situation I apologize for the long post. Just looking for some information from those in the industry. [link] [comments]

Wondering what neighborhood farm service would work best in my situation Posted: 10 Aug 2020 12:08 AM PDT Hey guys, hope you guys are having a good night, and also thank you for taking the time out to read my post! Please, bear with me as I am a complete novice in this realm. So, down to business, I was wondering what neighborhood search service would work best in my situation. What I want to do is: 1.) Be able to find out which subdivisions have the highest turnover % in my area, and get the contact info of the people there. How do I figure this out? I've looked at Mojo's neighborhood search feature but they do not have a filter option for this. Do other services like Cole realty resource do this? Redex? Or is this something I have to calculate? If so, how would I go about calculating this? Where can I see information about a specific subdivision-information like number of houses sold in that subdivision? 2.) Be able to isolate which subdivisions have the highest concentration of people that speak my second languageDoes any service offer this very specific feature? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Aug 2020 06:57 PM PDT For example if you help a land owner get some of their land sold, or help them with other projects they are involved with, is there a possibility for this, or for the land to be sold at a highly discounted rate? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Aug 2020 02:37 PM PDT How do you add someone's name to a house deed? Is it required to be on the mortgage as well? This is in Florida if that's helpful. [link] [comments]
Where to find lists to cold call? Posted: 09 Aug 2020 12:26 PM PDT Hey guys I was wondering where to find numbers to cold call for a specific demographic. For example, if I wanted to cold call subdivisions with high turnover %, where would I get the numbers of the people in those subdivisions? [link] [comments]
Is girlfriends auto loan payment included in DTI? Posted: 09 Aug 2020 12:17 PM PDT My girlfriends parents bought her a Jeep and it costs $760/month. The vehicle is not in her name but she pays the monthly dues by transferring the money from her account to her parents account. When applying for a mortgage, will this loan be included in debt to income ratio? I think I read somewhere that they will track where your money is going. But again the loan is not under her name. Any help appreciated thank you [link] [comments]
