Posted: 13 May 2020 08:46 AM PDT I have been doing fairly well with leads as a new agent. Since I am the only Spanish speaker agent in my company. And it may be the fact that this whole Covid-19 is slowing down the process. But what is the best way to convince a potential buyer to work with you. How do you approach your new leads? Any good tips or just things I should be doing to maximize every new lead I come in contact with? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 May 2020 12:47 PM PDT I've been thinking about having a sign made up for my own front yard that basically has my picture/brokerage/phone number on it and maybe says something like "Ready to buy or sell?". I thought this would be a good way for local people in the neighborhood to walk by and see that a realtor lives nearby. I don't want to mislead people into thinking my house is for sale and tricking them into calling. Should i add a rider that says "This House is Not for Sale"? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 May 2020 10:13 AM PDT Can anyone share here an Article, talking about What will the Real Estate Market be like after Covid 19. I also like to know from you guys (realtors) about your thoughts on this. THank you. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 May 2020 08:47 AM PDT So, after studying requirements to become a real estate agent in Texas, I learned you have to get finger prints and a background check. What do they look for? I was arrested about 13 years ago for felony possession of controlled substance, but it got knocked to a misdemeanor. Will that show up? Does it even matter because it was so long ago? Feeling unwelcomed at my brokerage or am I overeating Posted: 13 May 2020 02:03 AM PDT My broker, office manager, and director of agent services ignore my emails. Long story short I emailed my office manager last week regarding a somewhat time sensitive matter ...no response.. on Monday I emailed the director of agent services .. no response.. this is not the first time this has happened in the past I had to email my broker directly I never received a response from him but he forwarded my email to the director of agent services.. am I overreacting? I've been extremely stressed lately due to the new baby .. how should I proceed? I would call but everyone is working from home and I do not have the support staffs cell numbers or my brokers [link] [comments] |

Becoming a realtor in college? Posted: 12 May 2020 09:26 PM PDT I'm 19 and starting college in the fall (majoring in finance + marketing), for the past couple of years I have been very interested in working in real estate - and I know there are plenty of companies that are willing to give free training. Though everyone says you always have to be on duty, is it stupid of me to even consider trying to become a realtor as a full time college student? Does anyone else have experience of being a realtor without devoting your whole life to it? Basically is there ever a possibility I could be a realtor part time. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 May 2020 07:59 PM PDT So, I recently got put on disability by my previous job because it was too physically demanding, so I thought I'd give real estate a shot. I'm wondering if anyone here is in the San Antonio, Texas area and is willing to help me through this process when I finish classes. I know it's early to ask, but I want to have all my ducks in a row. I'm not in a wheelchair, I just have a muscle disorder and I can't lift things. Any feedback? Advice? Mentor volunteers? Selling Large Tract of Unimproved Land Posted: 12 May 2020 04:08 PM PDT Does anyone have any tips/advice for selling a large parcel of unimproved land? I've been in the business for several years but have not ever sold raw land like this. Does anyone know any resources for finding useful information that a potential buyer might want to know such as rules regarding zoning, subdividing, etc? Going to speak with my broker as well but figured I would ask the community here as well [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 May 2020 06:21 PM PDT This is mainly for the realtors in Illinois, but if you are in another location and think you can help then please by all means. I just finished my sophomore year of college, and now I'm debating if I should try to do the course over the summer. I want to finish before the next school year starts so with that being said, how long did it take you to finish the course? Did other things have your focus at the same time? I also plan on doing some real estate workshops over the summer IF the corona can move along. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 May 2020 05:00 PM PDT All, I need to get my PDHs done in Pennsylvania in the next few weeks. This is the first time I'm doing this. Can anyone recommend a company that does online / on-demand training. I'd like to sit down on my own time and bang it out in 2 days. -Kevin [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 May 2020 04:19 PM PDT My wife and I will be buying a house next year. Why should I pay a fee to hire a realtor when there's apps that show me houses for free? I just find the house in the app and pay with a loan from my bank simple. What do realtors bring to the table? My parents and school taught me NOTHING about buying a house and now it feels like I'm missing some major things. [link] [comments] |
What the best jobs/careers to prepare someone to become an RE agent? Posted: 12 May 2020 02:06 PM PDT Hello everyone, I am new here and I think I want to become a real estate agent in the next year or two (I'm 26, Veteran, with a spotty work history). Quite frankly, I am not ready to become one yet because even though I can pass the test and get my license. I am not financially prepared to take that journey yet. However, I would like to prepare myself as best as I can.
