| Posted: 16 Dec 2020 11:21 AM PST I've been licensed for almost a year now and after spending thousands of dollars in fees and dues without making a dime, I'm done. I'm absolutely sick of this. I've had next to no help or guidance and I'm starving. It's insanity for me to keep this up. Come January I'll be a loan officer assistant which will literally change my life. Right now I'm deep in the red and after 12mos as an LOA I should be grossing about $63k. It's honestly quite heartbreaking that this is how it turned out, but I'm just over it all. | Are BHHS’s award percentages local, regional, ...national? Posted: 16 Dec 2020 10:18 AM PST I'd never had a reason to wonder about it before (missed it by one transaction last year), but I finally hit an awards circle level! I wasn't expecting it with Covid and all, so I hadn't been tracking it. I'm over the moon happy about it! I'm just curious if anyone knows if the percentages of awards recipients from 2019 were local, regional, or national? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Dec 2020 04:50 PM PST Hello all, I am a new realtor (got my license in August) and so far I have closed 3 deals, had 1 collapse, another two are in the pipeline and most of my business has come from my sphere and online lead generation through social media and google ads. I hate cold calling and am attempting to build my business without it as it comes off disingenuous to me. My process is simple, I get the lead, I call the lead, I gather detailed information about the area and the client and put together a presentation before we begin viewings. Rinse and repeat. If some of the more seasoned vets on here can give me some feedback on how I have been doing I would greatly appreciate it. [link] [comments]
Timespan in someone moving into a home? Posted: 16 Dec 2020 12:16 PM PST Not a realtor nor have I bought a house so I am unsure on how long closing everything takes. I run a business that serves homeowners and I am curious: when you see that a home has been sold on zillow or realtor.com, how long does it take for the buyer to get everything settled and move in to the new home? Thanks! [link] [comments]
What Do You Do During Downtime Posted: 16 Dec 2020 11:09 AM PST I've been at work finding myself lost and bored. I've been a realtor for 3 months now and have made an account for everything I can think of. I was wondering if there was something that I could do during this time. I know that I can always be hustling, I'm just not sure where to begin. I haven't found a system yet that I can grind everyday, but I would like one. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Dec 2020 09:39 PM PST I'm having a really hard time getting leads as a new realtor . As of now I do videos of walk through on my Facebook and youtube and try to hand my business card out to as many people at the dog park but I haven't had any luck. Any advice ?? [link] [comments]

How are urban realtors handling buyers tours given COVID + parking? Posted: 15 Dec 2020 10:22 PM PST Hi! Hope this isn't a repetitive question. I'm a new agent in the SF Bay Area who has done both individual showings and buyers tours along the more suburban peninsula, but am starting to work with a few buyers who are interested in buying in the denser parts of San Francisco where parking can be hard to find. With COVID restrictions in mind, for my past showings in the suburbs I've driven separately from my clients and met them at each property, but I'm thinking this strategy could be awkward in the city if it takes forever to find parking for multiple cars plus walking from the parking spot to the property. What's everybody else doing these days for buyer tours in the city? Are your clients comfortable getting in your car? Are you hiring a driver for the tour so you don't need to look for parking? Getting from showing to showing via scooter? [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Dec 2020 02:46 PM PST I am considering forming a partnership with another realtor. Our combined skills partner really well. We will need some sort of written agreement of course. I am looking for examples from other realtors who have chosen this path. Thanks for your help. In California if that matters. [link] [comments]
Feeling kinda weird about working with new clients (Coronavirus) Posted: 15 Dec 2020 07:19 PM PST I am fairly established agent in a small tourist town. A ton of buyers have been hovering around, and I have about five that are ready to buy as soon as their ideal house comes onto the market. Our inventory is low. I keep getting approached by buyers through my website and google page, which I would normally be happy about. This last few weeks, though, I am really torn about taking on more clients because of covid-19. The vaccine is almost out to the public, numbers are super high, and most of these folks are from out of state and are just looking to invest (they don't need housing). It sure would suck to catch coronavirus right at the finish line. I have my business set up so that the only real face-to-face meetings I have is during showings and inspection, but even that feels risky right now. Is anyone else here referring/turning away qualified buyers because of exposure risks? [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Dec 2020 06:22 PM PST Does anyone here know of good articles to show people that have tried selling their home with an agent but the listing expired? Like reasons why it didn't sell, why you should re list it with another agent and that sort of information [link] [comments]
| How to become a luxury realtor Posted: 15 Dec 2020 06:04 PM PST Hello , I'm 18 and incredibly interested in real estate and am contemplating to become a realtor after my law degree . My question is If realtors make most of their money of commission why don't they all deal with more expensive properties? Furthermore, how does one become a realtor for luxury properties? Thank you !
