    Opcity Registration

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 10:18 AM PDT

As the title states, how do I register for Opcity? I was trying to do it but noticed it's now migrated with Realtor.com. Is there a registration page I am missing or do I need to call them for the registration process? Thanks for the help!

Looking for a study book suggestion

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 10:48 AM PDT

    Hi all,

I will soon be taking the CA salesperson exam. Does anyone have a good rec for a study book? I'm between the "For Dummies" or the "Barrons." Any suggestions? (Currently finishing up coursework but not a fan of the way the information is presented).

I've purchased some flash cards, but a study book would help me really nail down the concepts behind the terms. Thanks!

Do Realtors typically earn commission on a month to month lease? (MA)

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 11:36 AM PDT

Do I have to be a resident of California to take a pre-license course online? I'm moving to California but currently live overseas (US Citizen).

Also, any recommendations to which course I take?

A text message sent in error

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 06:54 PM PDT

A family member accidentally sent a nude pic of himself to the realtor he was working with. There was nothing lewd in the photo and he was the only person in the shot. That said, no one is claiming artistic merit. Less than five minutes later, the mistake was caught and a direct, plainspoken apology was sent. Hours later, the realtor sent a text in return ending their relationship. What does the wisdom of reddit have to say about this?

Do you stay in touch with clients during closing process and contracts are all signed?

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 04:37 AM PDT

I was wondering if it is necessary to stay in touch with your sellers after contracts are signed and we are just waiting weeks for closing at this time? There really is not anything to talk about besides how is moving out going in my situation as the sellers already moved into their next apartment.

Would you check in with them and just see how things are going and how often would you?

I don't want them to think I am ghosting them and I also don't want to annoy them.

Please help me with my Supra XpressKey

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 06:21 PM PDT

My team's XpressKey is the only key I have to open doors at the moment (I've been trying to get it set up on my phone but my association is requiring I purchase my own next week)

The issue is, it's saying Cellular Coverage Required every time I click on the key to open a keybox. I've attempted to do the manual update 4 times and I'm well within cell coverage. This has never happened before. Please help 😂 I have a bunch of showings this weekend and I need to be able to get people in the door 😂

    my online class screwed me

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 06:15 PM PDT

I took the 3 courses and finished them, I took the final on one and figured with covid and the lack of testing in California that they'd allow extensions on classes even though I finished the 3 and took the final on one and passed. Signed in the other day and now they're saying my classes are expired and it's going to take me 5 weeks to get the other two done. I can blast through this stuff, I have already done it, and know it like the back of my hand. Could I use two different websites, and do one class on each so I could at least cut the 5 week to 2.5 weeks? I can put 16 hours a day into it if I need to satisfy any time requirement. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    "Training Provided" job listing.

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 03:20 PM PDT

I've been seeing job listings on Indeed for Real Estate agents saying no license is required and they will train you. Is anyone familiar with these types of listings and dose anyone know if they are a scam? The one that I just saw was posted by "AgentAdvice.com" when I go to their website it looks like they may refer people to a website and get a commission off people when they sign up?

    Commercial Deal

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 01:03 PM PDT

    What's up everyone,

I have about a week with my license and I had two commercial deals land on my lap. (Talk about hitting the ground running lol) One of my clients is looking to purchase an office space. So I went out and found them one. They are extremely interested in the property and would like to have the deal done asap. The office space has been on the market for about 6 months. I've called the brokerage multiple times and left plenty of voicemails. It's been about 4 days and no one has reached out to me. My next step is to head down to the office and see what's going on. I am already showing that my clients are very motivated to buy with all the phone calls I have been making but I don't want to compromise my buyers negotiating position by bothering the brokerage any further. Any advice or tips on how to move forward? TIA!

    Georgia Real Estate License

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 12:25 PM PDT

I'm a disabled veteran and I have nothing going on in my life and I want to get my real estate license. Is there a reliable site that can guide me step by step and show me the costs of how to go about doing this? I am coming across sites that are offering "Pre-Licensing Packages" from $180 to $350, and it all feels kind of sketchy, so I am coming here asking for help on how to not get scammed.

Also if I was to move to another state like California or Texas would I have to start all over in this process or is it as easy as paying a fee?
