Is everyone in this sub just killing it and I’m the only one that’s about to go bankrupt? Posted: 09 May 2020 10:19 PM PDT I'm in real estate in NYC. I had 3 deals lined up (about 2.4 mil total) and every single one fell apart or backed out. All the buyers I had in my pipeline have decided to wait and a seller is going to rent instead. Everyone says there is just too much uncertainty right now to pull the trigger. But all I hear on this sub is everyone is going crazy selling real estate like hot cakes ....who are these buyers and why are they ok with the uncertainty? I just stopped Zillow ads because everyone was not looking to buy soon but wanted to talk about buying once the pandemic is "over". Continuing to advertise to post-pandemic buyers will put me out of business and bankrupt me if I can't close any of the buyers. But apparently everyone else here is absolutely killing it and is the busiest they've ever been. What am I doing wrong? [link] [comments] |
Buying a home with history of fire damage Posted: 10 May 2020 12:06 PM PDT Is it worth buying a home that was damaged in fire? The home was restored completely by a a well known and reputable restoration company (belfore). I.e new dry walls, new roof, new garage etc. Any downsides? Do people back down when they hear house had a history of fire. Garage and 1 room was impacted. How do buyers typically see this? [link] [comments] |
How do agent websites show listings for a particular area ? Posted: 10 May 2020 08:46 AM PDT I was on few agent websites yesterday looking at home listings in a particular area and they both had same listings. I realized it's from MLS listing. They had pictures and prices. But my question is what is the technology behind this? Where do they go to scoop up all the nicely listed photos and info? Do they do their own coding or is the coding done they just paste? Where do you go to get the codes etc? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 May 2020 06:56 PM PDT As sole proprietors how should we go about using our loan so that we can get the forgiveness? Please explain why as well. [link] [comments] |
Do all team leaders take credit for listings? Posted: 09 May 2020 07:47 PM PDT New agent here. I do a lot of solo prospecting on FSBOs and Expireds and as a result, set about 2 appointments a week and have about 2 listings a month. My team funnels me buyer and seller leads through Zillow, and lots of them, but my team leader insists on placing his sign in the yard of clients I prospect, solo and make me co-listing agent. Idk how to feel about this. I work hard for those leads and it takes tons of frustration and a serious learning curve to get those appointments. I'm okay with being co-listing agent on leads he procures, but leads I procure I feel should take credit for. [link] [comments] |
Has anyone ever used doodle videos? If so, how did you find them? Did they work? Posted: 09 May 2020 12:07 PM PDT I'm lacking social media content and saw a website that gives out weekly doodle videos. Has anyone tried doodle videos? Do they work and are they worth it? [link] [comments] |
Can you use an alias/other name for real estate? Posted: 09 May 2020 01:32 PM PDT I'm in the process of becoming an agent (so exciting!) and am wondering if I can use a nick name or alias for my real estate career? I am a full time musician and artist so my actual given name already has a website/social media handle/google results and reputation as a musician here. I'd like to keep the two separate if possible, as not to come off unprofessional (not sure how people would feel about a performer being their agent!). Is there any way to make this work? Even with the same last name, maybe using a different first name? Or am I legally allowed to use a new first and last name for real estate? I'm in Nashville Tennessee. [link] [comments] |
