    Terrified of failure

Terrified of failure - New Agent

I will be taking the state test (Florida) next week and I have been interviewing with some brokerages. Right now I have a full time job that has okay pay but I am thinking about quitting and diving into real estate. My mother in law is letting us live with her, pretty much rent free right now and I have some money saved for other expenses so I will be okay financially.

However, I am terrified of this not working out. I am very young and I don't have a lot of friends in my "network" and the friends I do have are also very young and not looking into real estate at this point in their lives. I only have my mom in Florida and the rest of my family lives out of state. But I do have a very strong work ethic and I know that I am a go getter but I will need to work on my confidence. This is something that I really want to work and I can see myself succeeding at.I feel physically sick when I think about diving into the industry, and the fact that there is a pandemic going on right now is just adding to that fear.

Any words of encouragement, advice, or tips are greatly appreciated.

Is it kosher to hold an open house while your listing is contingent and the buyers house is under contract?

I was planning on holding an open house next weekend but my listing got a contingent offer. The buyers house is now under contract so it should go through. Is it fair to still hold the open house? It's a good listing and I want to see if we can get a better offer or at least pick up more leads.

    Realtors Association: The Value

    Posted: 23 May 2020 12:30 AM PDT

Value in joining the Realtors Association?

One of the two brokerages I'm considering requires membership into the realtors association and being dually licensed in two states this is another $1k annually.

People speak of the value of the association but can't seem to articulate said value.

Best way to serve an agent?

    Posted: 22 May 2020 07:18 PM PDT

Hello Realtors, I have recently started working in agent services. My job is to assist our agents with technology related needs and anything else that can help them and give them the chance to do what they do best.

My question is what can I do on my end to make this possible. What kind of service would help you as an agent most? I am open to all suggestions.
