| How do you think this crisis will affect the real estate market in the next 1-3 years? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 05:56 PM PDT I don't think anyone really knows what's going to happen but I think this will shake things up a little bit. I've been a realtor for just over 6 years in one of the fastest growing areas of Florida and homes are becoming stupid expensive compared to when I first started. A lot of people are moving here and even though homes are seemingly expensive, they are still relatively affordable compared to other higher cost of living areas. I'm honestly kind of hoping the market dips a bit and takes some momentum away from the sellers market but people are going to continue to move here so I doubt it will dip much. My partner and I represent mostly buyers that we capture through our website so a buyers market would definitely boost our business a bit. I know some of you won't take this well but I'm also hoping this shakes out some of the agents that don't really give a shit about their job and give us a bad reputation. We're all just gonna have to improvise, adapt, overcome. I'm starting to see this as a great opportunity to learn how to really market myself instead of just munching doors to get deals (which is my preferred way).
