Ideas on things to do during quarantine

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:08 AM PDT

Okay, so I've been a little bit out of it for the last two weeks mainly because with a 6 month old and home schooling my eldest... sitting down is truly a luxury these days. So, of course, to stay focused I am trying to come up with a list of task to tackle every day and wanted to share. Let me know if you guys are doing anything different or have recommendations.

    1. Clean up CRM
    2. Create newsletter
    3. Call/Text 10 past clients or friends to check in on them
    4. Create social media content
    5. Do webinars- my brokerage is offering quite a few plus ones on Leading RE
    6. Work on listing presentation
    7. Work on buyer presentation

Do real estate companies care where you go to school for your license?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:00 AM PDT

I am interested in changing careers to a residental real estate agent. I would most likely start working for a real estate brokerage after getting my license while I get my feet on the ground and get an idea of how everything works. I am looking at online classes for the required education before I can take the licensing exam. There are so many options out there and the prices range from a few hundred dollars to upwards of a thousand dollars.

My question is, do real estate companies care where you get your schooling done? If I pick some random school I've never heard of will that hurt my chances of getting a job after I get my license? Is it worth it to pay for a big name school education?

    Thanks!

Can Realtor's apply for unemployment due to COVID-19?

For some reason I always thought independent contractors could not.

Over 2k paid in fees since January.

This is just ridiculous. I've been in the business 4 months and have paid over 2k in dues. How is this legal? This can't be fucking right. Before anyone says "call your board" I'm doing it tomorrow cause there's no fucking way. Is anyone else's board like this? It's Austin Board if Realtors in Texas.

The fuck?? I haven't made a single cent, yet I'm being absolutely raped financially by these assholes
