Real Estate Photography: With quality photography so accessible, why don't more agents take advantage? |
With quality photography so accessible, why don't more agents take advantage? Posted: 09 May 2020 11:11 AM PDT It seems every day I see beautiful properties listed with absolutely abysmal photos. Crooked, poorly-lit cell phone photography riddles my local MLS - and on a level, I can understand why. In some markets, a crayon drawing of a property will still find that home under contract in less than a week. So, why put in the extra effort? If I can sell a listing quickly and get my clients the right price, why should I spend more money than necessary? Granted, this is not the mindest of all agents. Some take extreme care with how their listings are presented. My perspective is each listing is a direct representation of an agent's business, in addition to being advertisements to attract new sellers to their services. I'm not a photographer. So, I'm interested to learn more about your own experiences in dealing with agents who think quality photography is unnecessary, and how have you overcome that mindset TL;DR - Why do some agents forgo professional photography only to present terrible imagery for their listings.
