    Formatting Tips for Zillow Descriptions?

    Posted: 09 May 2020 09:00 AM PDT

It seems Zillow strips out all HTML and formatting and always, no matter what leaves you with a blob of a paragraph.

    • No bullets
    1. No numbers

    No nothin'

Any tips on creating a more visually pleasing, mildly formatted, description?

    What’s your opinion?

    Posted: 09 May 2020 11:31 AM PDT

I am a contractor trying to network with real estate agents in this new world. Before covid, I had many way to get in front of realtors to try and form a relationship, like BNI, showing up at open houses and other networking groups. Now, all of that is sort of obsolete( You can do BNI on Zoom but it's not the same ). My questions to everyone here is what in your opinion is the best way to create a relationship with real estate agents now? I know not all agents are showing but there are a lot that are and I still need to do business, any help is appreciated, thanks.

I'd like to become a real estate agent in New York City, but I need to wait 15 months until I am able to move there. What are some things I can do to prepare now to help myself hit the ground running?

    Posted: 08 May 2020 03:52 PM PDT

Some background info that may or may not be helpful:

    - I do not currently live anywhere near NYC, and I am supporting my fiancé through graduate school - which is the reason for the 15 month timeline.

    - I currently make a living as a travel writer. I run my own website and freelance for others. I plan to continue this career, in addition to becoming a Real Estate agent, when I arrive in NYC.

    - I also spent 2+ years working as a leasing consultant for a property management company. Which is where my love of real estate, customer service, and sales really began to take shape.

I'd love to hear any tips/recommendations/suggestions you all might have! Thanks in advance!

    Looking for ISA advice

    Posted: 08 May 2020 02:53 PM PDT

We currently are getting 300+ leads a month and looking for advice on how to go about getting ISA to work our calls and qualify leads before passing off to an agent. These are not cold calls as leads are people who have registered on our website and given us their information. Prefer getting soemone in house to make calls but open to any ISA companies as well if you have a good recommendation.

    Offerpad?

    Posted: 08 May 2020 06:15 PM PDT

Wondering if someone can tell me more about Offerpad. My realtor found the perfect house for us, and sadly, it's being sold by OFFERPAD. They turned down my pre-approved offer of full listed price. First they asked if I would use their lender. My realtor told them that I am very happy with my current lender. Their email replies consist of a snide single sentence with no explanation or even a counter offer. Then they told my realtor that they have another offer. They gave both potential buyers 24 hours to submit our highest and best offer, which we did immediately. The next day, they email my realtor simply saying the decided to reject both offers. That was it! I would love to understand what kind of shady game they're playing. WHY list a price if there's no intent to sell at the price? And is it an ethical real estate practice to decide that since you have 2 offers in a week, maybe you can jack up the price without even making a counter offer? BTW, the house has been on the market for 45 days. I should have known not to trust them after reading all the BBB complaints, and their awful responses. They answered every complaint with finger pointing and blaming the people who filed them. How do they stay in business? They're worse than used car salesmen. Is there anyplace I can publicly blast them, and warn other potential buyers?
