Just finished my first open house Posted: 20 Jun 2020 05:31 PM PDT I did an open house for another agent. The house was a high price range house, which made me excited for the opportunities. Unfortunately not many people showed up, and the ones who showed up already had realtors. It was nice to get the first one out of the way even though I didn't get any leads. It was a good experience talking to people about real estate. [link] [comments]
Any agents in the Myrtle Beach area? Posted: 21 Jun 2020 08:58 AM PDT I am an Realtor in IL. My mother and stepfather are looking to retire in the Myrtle Beach area. We are all taking a trip there at the beginning of August and they are looking to find an agent to show them some homes in the area at that time. Any recommendations? [link] [comments]
How to file a complaint on realtor in Houston, Texas Posted: 21 Jun 2020 10:19 AM PDT Recently my sister has decided to move from Florida to Houston where I live. The past several days I showed her areas that were near me and we looked at several neighborhoods. My sister contacted a realtor to see several houses today. Over the last couple of days they exchanged information and he sent her listings. Today approx 2 hours before we were going to see several houses he contacted her and asked if she is ready to leave 1 & lasts, security and pet deposit on any of the places she sees today. She told him no that her and her husband would be discussing it on their drive back to Orlando. He promptly informed her he was cancelling all showings. Who does that sort of thing at the last hour before they are getting back on the road? My wife and I worked with 2 different realtors from two different brokerages. One when we initially moved to find a place in The Woodlands to rent and another one when we bought last year. Both were exceptional. The first one worked with us when we were living thousand of miles away in the Virgin Islands. This realtor was, in my opinion, unprofessional. My sister would like to file a complaint against his as he has screwed her for seeing these houses after she made plans. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jun 2020 09:19 AM PDT Hi All! I'm brand new at this but really need your guidance. I'm interested in getting my realtors license. Is CompuCram the actual study course or just a tool to help you to pass the exam? I'm confused. How do I go about getting the study materials? [link] [comments]
To anyone who has completed the Sellers Representative Specialist Certification. Posted: 21 Jun 2020 09:16 AM PDT They (REBI) offer a $168 Seller Counseling Presentation ppt. Wondering if anyone's actually bought it and thoughts on its value? [link] [comments]
What To Look For In Real Estate Deals Posted: 21 Jun 2020 08:51 AM PDT I'm planning my next investment venture in an income-generating property in the coming months and have been looking at several potential opportunities in the upstate New York area. Although the economy is currently on shaky ground I believe the real estate market outside of the New York metropolitan area is going to skyrocket due to a number of factors. A prime one being that many residents in major cities are moving out to areas with less strict quarantine measures and more space. I'm also particularly interested in investing in Florida, Texas, and Georgia. I had a chance to sit down and talk with a good friend and investor and philanthropist, Kenny, who has built a 17-year career in the financial real estate industry. He dedicates his free time and resources to the local community serving on the board of directors of two major trade organizations in New York City, the Chinese American Real Estate Association and the Asian Real Estate Association of America. In our talk, he provided tremendous insight into how the CRE (commercial real estate) in NYC has been in the decline for years and exacerbated by the pandemic and areas where tenants are potentially moving to. The podcast link is below if you would check out our conversation about how to take advantage and find opportunities in the real estate market during turbulent economic times. Do you guys think it's a good or bad time to buy real estate in your market? Thank you and keep the hustle going! [link] [comments]
Are there still Lead Gen opportunities in the U.S. (Asking from Germany) Posted: 21 Jun 2020 02:29 AM PDT Hey guys, I've been doing real estate lead gen in Germany for almost 6 years now, starting my own company 2 years ago. I was wondering if you think there is still room for another lead-gen service in the U.S. My main concern is not the competition (we have plenty of it here in a market that is 1/10 of the commission size), but rather the general attitude regarding leads, since I assume many of you also got burned paying for bad leads. Our conditions look like this: - we only forward leads of people who say that that plan to sell and accept being contacted by an agent - all our leads are exclusive -> one lead only goes to one agent - we don't have fixed-term contracts or minimum order quantities - we have (what I think) very fair cancellation conditions: for example if the contact tells our partner agent that he, other than specified, does not want to sell, the lead can be cancelled. Same goes for wrong contact information etc. - our prices range from $200-$300 per lead. What do you guys think? Any feedback appreciated! Best, [link] [comments]
How long after I take classes do I have to take the CA state license test? Posted: 20 Jun 2020 11:13 PM PDT I've googled and looked and can't find an answer. I took then classes and passed years ago but then became a personal trainer and then a stay at home dad. Now my kids are older and I'm looking into getting into becoming a realtor this time. Do I need to take the classes again or are they still good? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jun 2020 10:53 PM PDT TL;DR: Is there a deadline for when I have to apply with TREC after passing my pre-license courses? IE will my courses "expire"? I just finished my Pre-License Courses! Exciting! Here's the thing though - I'm currently "trapped" in New Zealand due to covid. Due to many factors I'd rather not rush home even once flights resume. I have a lot of resources to keep studying and not forget the course material for the exam. I know there is a deadline of one year after applying to fulfill the requirements, but I have not applied yet. So my question is, should I apply online now even though I don't know when I'll be back in the country or should I wait to apply until it's closer to when I'll be back? How long can I wait after passing the courses before taking my test? I suspect flights will resume in July but have no guarantees yet. Any other insight from those of you who have gone before much appreciated. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Jun 2020 05:05 PM PDT I'm going to take the CA salesperson exam soon and was wondering if it's possible to hang your license with an agency only for referrals when you find one. I'm planning for this to be more of a side job that I won't have to actually commit a lot of time to. Is this possible? Any tips or info regarding this would be helpful. Thanks! [link] [comments]
What Should I Learn About My Market? Posted: 20 Jun 2020 12:06 PM PDT Soon to be agent here (state exam in about a week), and I am trying to educate myself as much as possible on my local market but I am unsure of what info I should be studying. I am young so I know I have no choice but to master some of the market statistics and trends, I am just unsure of what I should know. If anyone can please help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated! Things I've been considering are; avg home price, days on market, % of listing price sold for, and that's about it. Thanks! [link] [comments]
