Posted: 26 Nov 2020 06:55 PM PST We just closed on our first investment property. Worked with a different realtor for 6 months then switched to this guy. He went above and beyond our expectations. He was out searching for deals, didn't just sign us up for MLS and wait for us to call. Checked in pretty much weekly with write ups on properties and if they would be money makers for us. Treated our money like it was his. Took us a year working with him and a few different offers to finally close on our new property. Negotiations were a pain and he was on top of it. At close he spent probably $200 on gifts for us, maybe more. We feel truly in debt to this guy and want to do something nice for him as the amount he got paid at the end of the day does not reflect with the amount of time he put in. We have already started our search for our next property and we plan on staying with him. What do you guys recommend for a gift for this sort of time/compensation situation? [link] [comments] |
Part time job while being a full time realtor? Posted: 27 Nov 2020 08:30 AM PST I'm 17 studying for my license. One thing I'm worried about is in my first year not making a single dollar so I want money for bills. My plan is to work at UPS part time they pay 18 per hour plus benefits. And I still want to work 10-12 hours per day as an agent. Is this a good idea? Would it be smart to get a shift earlier or later in the day? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Nov 2020 04:37 PM PST I am currently in the process of getting my license. I was wondering is there any way you can use a different name than your actual legal name to trade in real estate? Or is that not a thing? [link] [comments] |
What is the slowest time of the year? Posted: 26 Nov 2020 07:47 PM PST 1st year agent here and my pipeline is drying up as we enter December. Just wondering is December is the slowest time in real estate? If so, what do you do in your down time? [link] [comments] |
Became a Realtor in an area I don’t know. Posted: 26 Nov 2020 10:17 PM PST Hey everyone. I moved to a small town in northern Michigan about a year ago. I got licensed on October 9th and set up with a brokerage two weeks later. Now I have two deals closing before Christmas. I got them through a referral company that charges you 35% of your commission. It's tough to build report in a community with covid going on so I wanted to know if there are any of you out there that started out in an area you not familiar with and what you did to get started. I know that this biz is expensive and I can deal with that. I'd like to hear from newer agents as well, especially ones that started during covid. [link] [comments] |
