| My Broker Removed my license & Agent Profile Without my Knowledge Posted: 13 Feb 2021 09:22 AM PST Hey everyone! I'm in kind of a weird situation — I am newer agent with a smaller local brokerage. Since the beginning of my time with this broker (which has only been about 5 months) I've always felt something off about her. I can't quite figure out if it's just her personality or if she simply doesn't like me much. The last 3 weeks have been especially difficult for me dealing with personal family issues and I let my broker know that I would have to be putting real estate in the background for a couple weeks. Which I didn't think would be a problem because I'm not terribly busy with real estate at the moment. She then proceeded to contact me several times during this period asking what my goals were, and suggesting I put my license on inactive and etc. I honestly was thinking to myself wtf, because why would I go through the process of being inactive for a couple of weeks? So I told her no I wasn't doing that.. She then says she's taking my license off of the office bulletin (where all the agents hang theirs). I was confused by why she wanted to do that but I said okay (I figured she would think someone would walk in and pick my name off the bulletin while I'm dealing with my personal things? I really don't know...) So fast forward last night: A friend of mine referred me to a coworker of his and I guess they went on our brokerage site to get my contact info and IT WAS DELETED so they had to contact my friend to get my information. I was completely unaware that my agent page was removed from my brokerage's site and honestly a little embarrassed. Does anyone have any idea why my broker would do this? Is she trying to push me out? I called and texted her about it last night when I found out and she still hasn't responded which is extremely unprofessional and suspicious. It's leaving a bad taste in my mouth and I'm considering switching brokerages. Like does she want my money or nah? I don't want my start in real estate to be a negative and uncomfortable one. How does one go about switching? If I have current clients how does that merge over? We get to keep our clients according to the brokerage rules. Do I need to tell her I want to leave? Any advice or tips are very much appreciated! Thanks for reading! [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 12 Feb 2021 06:32 PM PST I signed up to get some info with a Zillow consultant about the Premier agent program, we created an account together over zoom and he proceeded to sign me up for an advertising service way over my budget, I thought we were doing a demonstration on how to use the system and now they have spent double what I wanted to spend and are refusing to refund me my money. On top of that, the service I paid for is not even listing me at all on their site. Has anyone had any problems with this? Would my local organization be able to help me at all? I made a complaint with the BBB, but I doubt that will get anything done. I also called my bank to put a hold on the transaction. Any input or advice on what direction to proceed would be awesome. | Broker won't sign transfer of title forms. Posted: 12 Feb 2021 06:13 PM PST Transfer of license forms *** So today I turned in my letter of resignation to my broker because I am making the switch. She immediately called me and was very nasty with me. Told me that I won't get any leads, won't get any help, and that I am setting myself up to fail at the new company. I sent her my license transfer forms immediately after she told me my "resignation letter doesn't hold water" and she is delaying signing off on them. I am so frustrated, and quite frankly appalled that I would be met with such a nasty demeanor because I am leaving them. I thanked them for their time etc. I got licensed and signed on with them the 1st of January and it just wasn't a good fit for me personally. I was adamant that it was nothing personal, have been nothing but cordial and respectful and have been met with nastiness. Has anything like this ever happened to you? [link] [comments] |
| Help me understand Reciprocity Posted: 12 Feb 2021 09:55 PM PST So I've been looking at Reciprocity for Licensees, but I can't quite wrap my head around it. For example, Arkansas has reciprocity agreements with these states: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington, West Virginia So does this mean that if you have a license in Arkansas, you can transfer your license to any of these states? Or If you have a license in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington or West Virginia...you can transfer your license to Arkansas? Or is it both? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 12 Feb 2021 09:01 PM PST I see so much mixed stuff online. I'd like to take the appropriate study to get the needed licensing to be a real estate agent to eventually get enough experience and education to be a broker. Where to start? So much conflicting scammy looking information and websites out there. I would really appreciate the help. I'm in California because of course that makes a difference. [link] [comments] |
