Real Estate Photography: Equipment advice .. for a photo guy adding video |
Equipment advice .. for a photo guy adding video Posted: 27 Aug 2020 03:51 PM PDT Hi all - hope you're well. I have shot stills in nearly 900 houses over a nearly 5 year span. Since COVID, I have added video to my repertoire. My issue is that I can't seem to get my videos to look like I want them to. I am shooting them on my Nikon D750 with a Tokina 16-28mm (which I love for still photography) and recently bought a FeiyuTech AK2000 as my gimbal. Camera/Lens: I think part of the reason they don't look like I want them to is because of my camera/lens combo. Do other people shoot video on the same camera that they use for still photography? Does anyone know anything about the D750's video capabilities? Does this sound like a reasonable combo to be shooting video with? Is there a camera/lens combo thats great for video and affordable? Do I really need to invest in a whole other setup? I just invested another $1500 into my business recently and am cash strapped. Gimbal: I have two issues .. 1. Panning 2. Stabilization How do I learn to pan properly? I cant seem to get the motion/length to work perfectly. Does anyone have a link to a video I can check out? Also, I feel like I might need to invest in a Dual Hand grip for my gimbal. I cant seem to keep things as still as I need them. I can't keep my shots as straight up and down as I need them either.. i.e. my vertical lines aren't straight. Do people think the AK2000 as is should be sufficient for what I'm doing? Should I definitely invest in the Dual Hand grip? Any additional advice here would be greatly appreciated. Heres a link to a video I've done recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfYfnqDlTyc Thanks so much for all your help in advance!! [link] [comments] |
