Posted: 31 Aug 2020 09:07 AM PDT I heard some agents say Keller Williams is built like an MLM. Can anyone confirm or deny this? [link] [comments] |

Managing Brokers in Illinois + Property Management Posted: 31 Aug 2020 10:46 AM PDT Is a managing broker of a property management firm in Illinois required to have a property management license in order to manage the leasing team? [link] [comments] |
Side hustles that were started and ran by YOU Posted: 31 Aug 2020 10:45 AM PDT Hello all! I'm a licensed agent in PA and NJ. I've been doing this about 3 years and I love it! I do this this full time now because I saved up a good amount while also lowering all my bills... also I live at home with no rush to leave. This year has sucked for me. But I have a ton of buyers I'm showing houses for everyday and a few listings down the line. I have a 90/10 split which is awesome and I probably wouldn't be in the business still if it wasn't for that. I plan on buying a rental property by the end of the year. I also plan on buying more then a few before I get married and move out with my girlfriend. I do work a lot but I also feel like I have more time on my hands that I mostly waste watching tv or playing video games. (I'm 24) not that it matters a whole lot. I'm curious to see if anyone has started their own business on the side to get some extra money coming in. For example someone i know who is also a realtor just started a cleaning business for herself. Just looking to see what anyone else has done and what success they have seen. I have some money and time that I would really like to invest in my self and just expand professionally. Thanks!! [link] [comments] |
Jobs working in New Construction Posted: 31 Aug 2020 10:04 AM PDT Hey everyone, so I'm a new realtor and I've been wanting to work in new construction for a while now, but all the jobs want people with 2 years of experience in new builds. So fast forward to today, I found jobs that train you in new home sales. Would any of you be able to give me insight into their experience with that? Or even just in new home sales in general and how I can get my feet wet in that market? [link] [comments] |
Interviewing brokers, do I just... email them? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 09:30 AM PDT Maybe this is obvious to some but not to me, and I surprisingly haven't seen it discussed here. I'm sitting my exams next week and need to begin interviewing brokers in my area to find a good fit. Am I supposed to just call the office number or send an email and ask for an interview? Please go easy on me, I'm coming from a career background where every job lead was word of mouth. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 09:06 AM PDT Just wondering; how many black agents there are that attended HBCUs? Seems like none out where I am. [link] [comments] |
How much of a hassle is a cash sale? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 05:01 PM PDT Paid off my home back in March. Just found out about a week ago that my wife has received a very substantial promotion and we will be required to move about four hours away in about two weeks. My landscaper has always been interested in my home and has mentioned in the past that he wanted first dibs if we ever thought of selling. He's made me an offer to pay our asking price in cash. This is my first time selling so I'm clueless as to what kind of fees or extra expenses might be involved. Thanks for any insight anyone can share. State is Georgia as I'm sure it's probably different all across the US. [link] [comments] |
Did I just screw over my realtor? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 04:02 PM PDT I've been working with an amazing realtor for the past 6 months to help me find an apartment in a new city. My expected move-in date has continuously gotten pushed back because of covid. I've been browsing the websites for some of my ideal apartments periodically over the summer. A few weeks ago I reached out to one building because I wanted to know the rent price for a specific floor plan. We emailed back and forth for a bit and then I cc'd my realtor and looped her in and introduced her by name, as my realtor, in this message. She said that unfortunately since I've been in contact with this leasing agent, she can't help me with regard to this particular building. When I introduced her to the leasing agent via email though, he seemed fine with it and left her cc'd in his response. Is there really no way she can get commission if I rent with this place? I feel terribly because she is great and I didn't intend to fuck her over by emailing the place directly. I'm having her look at other places for me, but i'lI feel really bad if I go with this first place and she can't get any commission. Tl;dr: curious if my realtor can still get commission if I emailed an apartment complex directly. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Aug 2020 02:27 PM PDT Hello everyone, So for awhile now I've been thinking about getting into Real Estate. However, I don't know much about what the profession entails. I have a couple questions and if anyone is willing to answer them I'd be very grateful. I've been looking at the different schools in my area as well as who's currently hiring. There seems to be a lot of positions that say they are willing to help you obtain a license while working with them. Would you recommend going to school separately compared to getting it all through an employer? What are the advantages and disadvantages of going to a school first? I've found a school that I believe would work for me, what should I expect with the classes and school work? Upon first starting out in Real Estate, how difficult is it to get into the groove of things and to start feeling successful on your own? What are some positives and negatives associated with being a female Real Estate agent? If you could do it all over again, would you choose the same profession? Would you do anything differently? What companies have you worked for? Are there any that I should stay clear of? What are some major pros and cons that you've noticed about the profession? Again thank you for taking the time to read and answer any questions that you can. [link] [comments] |
