Real Estate Photography: Best way to find new clients?

Best way to find new clients?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 07:44 AM PDT

I've gotten positive feedback from the select few clients that I have. They keep coming back to me but I've found it difficult to reach new clients.

I recently just placed a google ad but so far no luck. I'm sure literally every person here has had this problem at some point.

    Any advice?

Looking to possibly upgrade cameras (from D7000)..recommendations?

Hey all. So I've been doing real estate photography for a couple years, and I'm starting to feel held back by my camera. I'm not sure if there is actually anything that will be measurably better in the areas I'm struggling with or if it's just user error, but I wanted to pick your minds.

I'm currently using a Nikon D7000 with a Sigma 10-20mm lens. Back when I bought it new, probably 10 years ago, it was the best on the market (unnecessary splurge, I'll admit). But I'm wondering if there is better for this specific subset of photography.

I feel like the dynamic range is not super. I did just read somewhere that it was fantastic though, so maybe I'm just delusional? And it doesn't have a good bracketing feature. I believe it will only take up to 3 exposures (mayyyybe 5?) up to 1 stop increments, and that has never seemed to be enough.

My photos are also never tack sharp. They get blurry towards the edges (which maybe is the lens?)....and just overall not the sharpest images. I use a tripod of course, set the shutter to a 2 second timer, and shoot at f11 ISO 200.

I'm also looking to get into video, so I don't know if my D7000 is good for that or if there are much better options out there.

I'd like to purchase something I can use with my sigma 10-20mm, but if that's causing my problems or it would be worth it to get a different lens for a better camera, I would definitely consider that.

Any input would be very greatly appreciated, thank you so much in advance 🙏🏼
