Is there a lot of competition in your market? Is it too late to get into REP? Can someone in a large market still stand out?

Please comment where your thoughts along with which city you operate in!

Whats the right file format to shoot on?

    Posted: 12 Nov 2020 08:11 PM PST

I see people saying JPEG is the worst and to also not shoot in raw. Why is that? Im new to real estate photography, and just did photography as a side thing and i have always used jpeg. Wondering why its no good and what i should use instead.

Also why is shooting raw not good? I thought raw is better because you have better control over the editing?

    Outsource photo editing survey

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 08:17 PM PST

I decided to re-evaluate my outsource options for editors and sent requests out to 12 groups that had been recommended one way or another. 9 of them responded with photos and I built a survey to get feedback from some of my clients. I thought maybe you guys would like to participate or even help give feedback!

I used 6 different shots, all shot with the same camera but in various lighting and quality situations. All shots included 5 brackets, a flash shot, and a flash window pull.

I also asked for a day to dusk conversion on the one exterior.

If anyone was interested to take a quick survey and rate the photos please feel free to: https://webstudioco.com/photo-test/

edit: The survey is asking for name and email, but that's more so I can keep track of requests sent to specific clients, so feel free to put whatever you want! I'll also post results after the weekend!
