Real Estate Photography: How Much Should I Charge for A 5 Bedroom

How Much Should I Charge for A 5 Bedroom

Hi all, I used to work for a real estate photography company that had me take photos for $15-50 a house. All I did was take the pictures, and they would have people in India editing and processing the pictures overnight to deliver to the client. I had real estate group that really liked my photos and would always request that I photograph their properties.

I stopped working for that company over a year ago, and just received a text from that client asking if I would photograph a property for them. It's a 5 bedroom, 3 bath, and they always buy 25 image packages. She asked how much I would charge, and I honestly have no idea. I don't know what my company was actually charging clients. I'm fairly confident in my ability to edit nearly as well as the people my old company hired, but I admittedly don't have a lot of experience with editing real estate photos.

Please help me come up with a price to give her.

Edit: Just researched and found that my old company was charging $189 per house, which includes standard editing and processing, and blue sky/green grass treatment. There was also a more expensive $250 price for more advanced editing, but I doubt this client bought that.

    Slideshows

What program or website do you use to create slideshows? I am looking for a free one or one I can buy the pro version for outright so that there aren't any watermarks. All the programs/sites I have found charge a monthly subscription; I'm not interested in paying monthly, and I don't want the watermarks in a free version. If you have any advice, please let me know. Thank you!

    relicensing to developers?

    Posted: 06 Feb 2021 08:15 AM PST

    hi there!

i frequently photograph luxury new builds for sale. i typically get inquiries to relicense photos from builders, architects and designers. i'm wondering now if it is fair or unfair to charge the developer to use the images.

my thought process is the developer is the owner of the home, and correct me if i'm wrong, isn't necessarily using the photos to win future jobs as a builder or architect would.

    curious on your thoughts? thanks!
