Just a Real Estate Horror Story Posted: 04 Feb 2021 08:40 AM PST So, I was working with a new real estate agent the other day. I was going through taking photos, everything was going great. Near the end of the shoot I noticed the photo I just took was a bit out of focus, and I though 'hmm that's weird' adjusted the focus and finished up. I got home uploaded the photos and realized that almost ALL THE PHOTOS were out of focus. I didn't notice during the shoot because on the small LCD screen the photos look in focus, but on the big screen it was obviously out of focus! I contacted the agent and told him what happened. Luckily he was very gracious and offered to pay even though I told him I wasn't going to charge him. The next day I did some investigating as to why everything was out of focus and I discovered that the mount on my Rokinon 14mm 2.8 had come loose! So I had to take it apart and re-tighten some of those microscopic screws and it all seems to be back up and working. Anyway I just wanted to give some encouragement to those that are worried about the worst happening. And maybe a laugh to those that had something like this happen. [link] [comments]
Augmenting Matterport real estate 360 virtual tours with 3D objects? Posted: 04 Feb 2021 05:36 PM PST Hi, I'm working on a virtual tour extension allowing users to add some 3D content to their flats/houses virtual models. It's still in development but I was wondering what people would want or need? It could be a virtual speaking guide, it could be extra 3D furniture for test, or anything useful to the end users really. How would you personally like to augment your own property 360-photos virtual tours if you could insert anything in terms of 3D graphics? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Feb 2021 12:36 PM PST Hi, I just started cold calling RE agents and people selling houses without RE agents. I'd like to know what time period of the day do you find the most effective for those cold calling. Personally I found that the evening between 7 pm and 8 pm on week days seems to have the most responses Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Any recommendations for Camera Rucksacks and Tripods for cycling to jobs? Posted: 04 Feb 2021 07:16 AM PST I live in a metro area and at present I can only cycle to jobs so I am looking for recommendations for camera bags (preferably rucksacks) and light and compact tripods that would fit well. I have standard equipment which would need to fit in the bag including a Canon DSLR, 1-2 lenses and a flash. I am a bit concerned with having the tripod to one side of the bag when cycling due to more weight being on one side and risk of it getting caught on or hitting something. If you have any thoughts or recommendations on which camera bag and tripod would suit my needs it would be much appreciated! [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Feb 2021 05:48 AM PST I've narrowed my search down to 3 or 4 cameras, I am just starting out and plan on buying used. Nikon 5600, Cannon t7i (or 80d) and sony a6000 or 6300 I like the sony but I am worried about finding a good used lens I can afford. Input? [link] [comments]
